Observations et histoire de la classification de la description
Hering (1936) states that entalis is a synonym of macarista Sharpe: “P. entalis Jord. I regard, until an examination of the genitalia of the type specimen proves otherwise, as a subspecies of macarista.” Le Doux (1937) disregards this opinion and classifies entalis as a valid subspecies of poggei. He takes the opportunity to classify elgonensis and toroense as synonyms of entalis, which he thus places geographically in Uganda in addition to Angola! Classified by Pierre & Bernaud (2014) as a synonym of poggei.
