Observations et histoire de la classification de la description
Described as closely related to circeis Drury. At the time, most authors were unaware of servona Godart's description. Aurivillius (1895, 1898) considers dejana to be a synonym of lycoides Boisduval (incorrectly named lycooides in 1895), a variant of circeis. Classified as a synonym of servona by Eltringham (1912, 1916).
